Who's a fan of Facebook Texas Hold'em Poker?

March 31, 2009 : Posted by admin

If you don't know Texas Hold'em Poker is a game of poker on Facebook.. You play and win chips or you lose them.. Alot of people play it and need chips cuz when they lose they still want to play and how do they get those chips? they buy them from people who sell them!

That's what i do.. i got chips to sell for reallly impressive prices! Each million has a price depending on how many millions you want.. Some people buy these millions and sell them to others and run it as a business.. It's totally legal no worries..

Now anybody interested in a deal? If yeah, email me and we'll see where you're from and how we can make it happen..

P.S. : the prices depend on how many millions you want.. the more the millions get the less the price per million will be.. and it's definitely lower than 50$ per million!

My cousin.
Goood luck.

do you have to report online poker earnings to the IRS?

March 31, 2009 : Posted by admin

Do you have to report your earnings from playing poker online to the IRS on your taxes?

If so, is there a designated amount that doesn't need to be reported - and everything above that does?

If it matters by state - I am curious about California.

Also, the way the monies are received from the poker site are via check.

Unless your TOTAL income is low enough that you are not required to file, you are legally required to report ALL income. Even if you only make $0.01 form a given source, that penny is supposed to be reported. on-line gabling is not legal in the US, but illegal income is taxable. On-line losses are NOT deductible against winnings because illegal expenses are specifically not deductible.

Judy is correct about losses from LEGAL gambling being an itemized deduction against gambling winnings. Losses from ILLEGAL gambling are not deductible. ALL on-line gambling is illegal under US Federal law.

How do be better at Texas Hold'em?

March 31, 2009 : Posted by admin

I am a decent player, its in my blood to gamble with Texas hold'em, my entire male part of my family gamble and do quite well. However, its been sometime since i last played and im a bit rusty. I was hoping somebody could tell me a website to better myself, see what cards are good, what arnt, how to read peoples faces, and whatever else i should know while playing the game.

You should probably read some strategy. This is the first step. I would suggest the following websites for strategy.
www.twoplustwo.com go here read articles and read the forums they have digest at the top of the forums read all those post. For tournament poker I would reccomend reading bond18's series on "things it took me a while to learn" http://www.tworags.com/blogs

Also Flop turn River has a strat session with a starting hand guide for all 182 hands also many other good strategy post. www.flopturnriver.com

I would then recomend getting to an online poker site and play low stakes less than ten dollars or whatever is in your financial capabilities. I would recomend starting out at
cake poker http://cakepoker.com/?t=7792&Lang=en
The players on cake poker arent as good as the ones on some other sites.

If you want to face better players I would recomend
full tilt http://www.fulltiltpoker.com?key=MDAwMEMxMTQwMDAyMzUxMjIwOTAwMDYxMDAwMDAwMDI-"
Once you play enough on full tilt they have there full tilt poker academy that you autimatically get for free which has numerous articles and video's from there top ranked pro's. I think all you need to do is earn 100 FTP points for playing cash games. You should be able to get those in a few hours.

There are also semi expensive video training sites that you pay and get instruction from top internet pros a few of these are

www.cardrunners.com
www.legopoker.com
www.bluefirepoker.com
-theres many more just do a serach for poker video training sites.

What kind of poker psychology do you use at the table?

March 30, 2009 : Posted by admin

I've heard people say they like to act friendly and courteous to everyone at the table so that a) people will assume they are chumps and try to take advantage of them and b) people will be less inclined to try to bust them from the table. I've also heard people take the "poker brat" approach and try to antagonize other players at the table so that they WILL try to take shots at them. What's your approach?

Being friendly is good because people dont want to bust you as much.

To me the most important thing though, is to get a good image. If you play TAG bluff a little more and people will respect it. If you are LAG and you have the nuts bet with it. Dont slowplay (if you check then people will know something is up)

Another good method which is used primarily to mix up your play is to raise with trash hands(58, 25) once in a while. If you flop a strong hand like a boat you can put your oppenent on tilt. But do it rarely.

You could also be like phil hellmuth but people will want to bust you more. The pay offs though is that if you have a good hand you will probaly get more value from it because as i said people will want to take your money so they will call.

What is the most advanced poker book out there?

March 29, 2009 : Posted by admin

I feel like I don't even have to read a book because I'm that good of a poker player so with that being said, can you recommend me with a great book that would provide me with valuable insights or new information that I may not know of.

I mostly play online no limit texas holdem poker. Usually at the sit-n-go tables and big tournaments.

Quite honestly, with that attitude, why bother? You have already taken the incredibly arrogant position that you probably don't need to read a book. Despite the fact that some of these people who write the books have won millions at the game.

Unless you are willing to accept you are not as good as you think you are, you will never improve.

Doyle Brunson once said that he never plays a game of poker without learning something. And I'm sure a player as good as you doesn't need to be reminded of his achievements.

So my suggestion is you think about your attitude before you worry about poker books.

Once you've done that, I recommend Sklansky and Harrington. Pretty much all the books they have written.
