im new to the poker game texas holdem on face book and im not sure of the rules, the best cards etc. 10 points for most help
Texas holdem is a variation of poker. In poker, you need 5 cards to make a hand, here’s a list weakest to strongest:
HIGH CARD - self explanetary
PAIR - ” ”
TWO PAIR - ” ”
3 OF A KIND - ” ”
STRAIGHT - 5 cards in ascending order ie A2345
FLUSH - 5 cards of same suit
FULL HOUSE - 3 of a kind + a pair ie AAAKK
4 OF A KNID
STARIGHT FLUSH - 5 cards in ascending order and all same suit
ROYAL FLUSH - 10JQKA all same suit
Texas holdem is played by each player being dealt two private cards, called hole cards. Then a round of betting starting with the player left of the big blind. When bettings finished, 3 community cards are laid visible on the table, this is called the flop, another round of betting this time starting from the small blind. Then one more card is laid visible on the table called the turn, round of betting, then the last card is laid on the table, called the river, then the last round of betting. The person with the best 5 card poker hand out of the 7 available (2 hole cards and 5 community cards) wins, or the person who bets all other players out of the pot wins.
Betting- when betting, you can:
CHECK - If noone bets you can ‘check’ meaning you don’t put any money in the pot.
CALL- If someone has already bet an amount, calling is putting in the same money as the previous bettor.
RAISE - Put more money in the pot
FOLD - Throw your hand away
Blinds are a compulsary blind bet that is made before cards are dealt to get the action going. The dealer button is passed around the table before each hand, to the left is the small blind, and to the left of the small blind is the big blind. Usually the small blind bet is half the size of the big blind. So you’ll always have BUTTON>SMALL BLIND>BIG BLIND.
Good Luck!

How should you play when you are in an loose table and how should you play when you in a tight table(hold'em)?
at a loose table, you will often want to call more raises before the flop and raise less often, because you won't likely get anyone to fold, and will be facing wider ranges of hands that will raise…on a tight table, you should call raises less often and raise more often, because you will steal the blinds with raises and will often be up against a big hand when someone else raises, so you want to have a big hand even just to call a raise

I've been playing Hold'em for the past two years or so. I am going to Vegas in late April and am planning on playing at some Texas Hold'em tables and tournaments. I have a few questions:
1 - What does it mean for a no limit table when it is 2/4. I understand that the small blind is $2 and the big blind is $4, but do those amounts ever increase (at a sit-and-go table)? Is there a cap to how much can be bet at a time? Do the bets have to be in $4 intervals?
2 - Where can I find the lowest stakes tables for No Limit Hold'em? I am looking for $1/2 tables preferably.
3 - When at a 1/2 or 2/4 table, what is a good amount to buy in for? Is there usually a maximum amount that people can buy in for so that they cannot 'bully' other players out of hands?
4 - How does limit hold'em work? Please explain how the betting structure would work in a 2/4 limit game.
5 - Any other tips?
Sorry for the multiple questions. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me, I appreciate it
Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run, never count your money when you're sittin' at the table, there'll be time enough for countin' when the evening's done.
